This is the formal privacy notice for the Cadenza Android app (package id work.musigna.cadenza), published by Musigna LLC. The short version is on the home page; this page restates the same facts in the format Google Play expects.
Data collected by the developer
None. Musigna LLC does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal information, device identifier, usage statistic, location, or content of any kind from users of Cadenza. Musigna LLC does not operate any server that Cadenza communicates with — the app contains no code that initiates a network connection on its own, with the single exception of the Google Play Billing library used during the optional donation flow.
Data stored on your device
Cadenza saves the following data locally on your device, in app-private storage that is not shared with other apps:
- Timer configurations you create or edit (named intervals, durations, plan names), as JSON files inside the app's private files directory.
- App preferences, including the donation bookkeeping (whether you have donated, when, how many sessions you have completed since), in Android
SharedPreferencesnamespacedcadenza_prefsandcadenza_donations.
This data never leaves your device. It is included in Android's standard backup if you have device backup enabled, in which case it is encrypted in transit and at rest by Google as part of that service. Uninstalling Cadenza deletes all of it.
Third-party services
Google Play Billing
The only third-party service Cadenza interacts with is Google Play Billing, used solely for processing optional donations. When you initiate a donation, the Play Billing library on your device communicates with Google Play to handle the purchase. Cadenza does not have visibility into the payment details. Google Play's handling of that transaction is covered by the Google Privacy Policy.
Cadenza does not transmit any usage data to Google. The Play Billing integration is only active during a donation flow.
Google Play Store install metrics (aggregate)
As is standard for any Play Store app, Google reports aggregate install counts to the developer through the Play Console. These counts are not individually identifying and the developer cannot opt out of receiving them.
Permissions
The complete list of permissions Cadenza declares, and the reason for each:
FOREGROUND_SERVICE,FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK— keep the timer running and the spoken cues audible when the screen is off or another app is in the foreground.POST_NOTIFICATIONS— display the ongoing timer notification; required by Android 13 and later.WAKE_LOCK— keep the CPU active during a running timer so the interval does not drift.VIBRATE— pulse the device at each loop step boundary; the pattern is configurable per step and the whole feature can be turned off in Configure → Sound & Vibration.com.android.vending.BILLINGandINTERNET— declared transitively by the Google Play Billing library; used only by the optional donation flow.
Cadenza does not request: location, contacts, microphone, camera, storage, advertising ID, phone state, calendar, SMS, call log, body sensors, or any other sensitive permission.
Analytics, crash reporting, advertising
None. Cadenza does not integrate any analytics SDK (no Firebase Analytics, no Google Analytics, no Mixpanel, no Amplitude, no third-party telemetry of any kind), any crash-reporting service (no Crashlytics, no Sentry, no Bugsnag), or any advertising SDK (no AdMob, no other ad networks). There is no advertising identifier read or transmitted.
Children
Cadenza is suitable for users of any age. Because the app does not collect any data and does not require an account, no specific provisions for children's data are necessary; there is no data to handle.
Changes to this notice
If a future version of the app changes the data picture above, this page will be updated and the change will be noted in the version's release notes on the Play Store. The architectural commitments described on the home page — no Cadenza server, no analytics, no remote control — apply to the version of the app you currently have installed and cannot be retroactively changed by a future update or owner without you installing that future update.
