Bug reports, template ideas, accessibility issues, and questions about how Cadenza works go through the form below. It sends an email; no account, no logged-in session, no third-party form service.
If you're reporting a bug
Because there is no Cadenza server, we don't receive any logs, crash reports, or usage data — we only know what you tell us. The more you include, the faster we can reproduce the problem. A useful bug report includes:
- Your Android version (Settings → About phone → Android version).
- Your phone model.
- Cadenza's version (Configure → bottom of the screen, or Play Store → Cadenza → About this app).
- What you did, what you expected to happen, and what actually happened.
- If relevant: the timer configuration you were running (template name, step durations).
If you're suggesting a feature
Useful suggestions explain the use case rather than the solution. "I want to do X but Cadenza makes me do Y" beats "please add a button that does Z" — Y often suggests several possible Zs and only one of them is the right fit.
Things Cadenza is unlikely to add: cloud sync, social features, history / streak tracking, integration with fitness platforms, advertising (obviously). The app's no-server design is load-bearing, and most of those features need a backend we don't run.
Frequently asked
The full FAQ lives on the home page. The most common questions:
- Is Cadenza really free?
- Yes — the whole app, no premium tier, no subscription, no ads. Donations are optional.
- Does Cadenza work offline?
- Yes. The timer is stand-alone — there is no Cadenza server it depends on. It works in airplane mode, on the subway, in the gym basement, on a plane.
- How do I add a new template?
- Configure → Custom → Save as named plan. Or start from a built-in template and adjust the steps before saving.
- The TTS voice is too quiet / too loud.
- Cadenza uses your phone's system text-to-speech engine. Adjust the navigation prompt volume in your phone's volume settings, or change the TTS voice in Settings → System → Languages & input → Text-to-speech output.
- Can I export my plans?
- Not yet. Plans are stored as JSON files in the app's private storage and are included in Android's standard device backup if you have backup enabled.
- I donated and want a refund.
- Refunds for Play Store purchases go through Google, not the developer. See the Play Store refund instructions.
